God created mankind to represent Him in the world so that every creature on Earth would know that He is the Creator of the universe.

Human beings are the pinnacle of God’s creation. When God finished His creation at the end of day six, He proclaimed it very good for the first time.

God ceased from His creative work and blessed it. He created a perfect paradise for Adam and Eve to rule over as His appointed vice-regents.

God created Adam and then formed another image-bearer who would help him fulfill his role as a ruler and procreator of life on the earth.

Satan came to the garden to deceive God’s image-bearers and influence them to question the Creator’s words and character so that they would rebel against Him.

Adam and Eve had committed open rebellion against God, but the Lord pursued them and offered them redemption even after they committed treason.

Adam and Eve committed rebellion against God, so He informed them that their lives as His image-bearers would be significantly impacted.

Jesus Christ is the true image of God, the One that reveals what humanity is supposed to be and what all Christians will one day be like in holy perfection.

The story of the Bible is about God’s plan to redeem humanity from the failure of the first Adam through the finished work of the last Adam.
