Through the years of Junior High and High School there is a significant time frame for teenagers to find their identity and where they belong. Between the peer pressure and the pressures of the world, it is harder than ever for teenagers to have a clear view of what is truth. Here at First Baptist Church of Auburn our student ministry believes that God’s word has the very answers to shape a believers life to not only find their identity in Christ, but give them a purpose and where to belong in this world (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We want our students to have an understanding of not only who Jesus is and His word, but also get students involved in the local church. In order that they may grow with other peers, learn to serve others, and have a smooth integration into the church body as they enter adulthood.
IGNITE Student Ministry’s goal is to, “Equip a Generation to Love God & His Word” (1 Timothy 4:12, Luke 10:27, Psalm 119:105). We believe that a deeper love for God will lead to a deeper love for His people and a deeper love for God’s word will lead to a life that longs to live it out. Our goal on Wednesday nights is to provide a safe and fun environment for students to play games, fellowship, worship, and study God’s word all for His Glory (1 Corinthians 10:31). We desire to build relationships with students that last long after they have left our ministry and hope that through God’s grace their relationship would grow with Jesus as well.
